In a display of partisan bias in the news, ABC and NBC have refused to air a 33 second ad that questions Obamacare. The refusal of ABC and NBC to run a national ad critical of President Obama’s healthcare reform plan is raising questions from the group behind the spot —particularly in light of ABC’s healthcare special aired in prime time last June hosted at the White House A doctor in the League of American Voters ad asks: “How can Obama’s plan cover 50 million new patients without any new doctors? It can’t.” “It’s a powerful ad,” said Bob Adams, executive director of the League of American Voters, a national nonprofit group with 15000 members who advocate individual liberty and government accountability. “It tells the truth and it really highlights one of the biggest vulnerabilities and problems with this proposed legislation, which is it rations health care and disproportionately will decimate the quality of health care for seniors.” ABC Responds: “The ABC Television Network has a long-standing policy that we do not sell time for advertising that presents a partisan position on a controversial public issue,” spokeswoman Susan Sewell said in a written statement. “Just to be clear, this is a policy for the entire network, not just ABC News.” Dick Morris, a onetime adviser to former President Bill Clinton, said he was particularly troubled by ABC’s decision not to air the spot. “It’s the ultimate act of chutzpah because ABC is the network that turned itself over completely …

Franken On The Public Option And Election Reform
Follow Dusty Trice on Twitter: twitter.com Senator Al Franken discusses the public option, medicare part D and election reform. — Last week, Sen. Al Franken was accosted by Tea Party activists at the Minnesota State Fair. He turned an ambush into a productive discussion, and I turned that conversation into a youtube video. YOU turned that video into an online sensation. There was no name-calling, no wrist-slitting, no Obama-with-a-Hitler-mustache posters. Ana Marie Cox called it terrible tv, but great democracy. And the even greater news is that you cared. The REAL horrible truth about healthcare “reform” why we have to fight it
www.platformforthefuture.com The Stench of Truth (300).mp4 What is being planned is not a “government takeover of health care”. What is on the table is a mandate to people who don’t have jobs to buy insurance they may not need or want in order to prop up private insurance companies. This is a bailout of the PRIVATE insurance sector. Paid for by you. It is also a systematic destruction of the social safety net of Medicare, and soon that will be followed by Social Security. Far from socialism or socialized medicine my friends. This is the beginning of putting us all at the mercy of rapacious corporations in every area and the so-called “free market”. Just want to set the record straight on this point.
